Help WWF's work in Paraguay

For this forest and its awesome biodiversity to survive, we need to take concrete steps now to strengthen protected areas that already exist, to create new ones, to connect protected forest blocks with corridors of native forest, and above all, to provide appropriate friendly economic alternatives and improve the quality of life for the indigenous and rural population who live in the Atlantic Forest.

We can do this by helping the local organizations to acquire and manage private lands, and by motivating landowners to create private reserves and develop forest friendly economic activities on their land. We can support local communities to develop land use zoning to protect and restore enough forest to maintain both watersheds and the biodiversity. And we can help by developing creative financial mechanisms to sustain forest protection over the long term.

We're not just talking about saving the beautiful natural landscapes and the valuable and unique species, but we speak to you about the very survival of humanity through saving such a diverse and threatened forest.
