Anacondas, caimans, jaguars, macaws, and many more...
Here, the Anaconda slithers through the under-growth, whilst giant river otters play on, oblivious. Caimans gather on the banks, soaking up the baking sun. Multicoloured birds sing in the trees but pick their spot carefully before landing in the piranha-infested waters. Just another day in the peaceful Pantanal, one of the world's largest wetlands.
Yet this calm exterior belies what's happening behind the scenes. Unplanned development projects, over-exploitation of resources, tourism, in short - everything that humans are known to bring, to ruin pristine wildernesses such as this.
