Government and Aid Agency relationships: values

Sharing values and views on best practice
In addition to close alignment on environmental priorities, WWF shares a number of values and views on best practice with our multilateral and bilateal partners.Among these are:
- The strong involvement of stakeholders in the identification of problems and solutions.
- The strong need for local ownership of issues: WWF's strong national presences - usually as independent and nationally chartered NGO - reflect national perspectives on issues.
- The importance - and ability - to engage and act at local, national, regional and global levels.
- A commitment to partnerships: with governments, civil society and the private sector.
- A holisitc view on the dealing with problems; going beyond the symptomatic issues to understand and tackle the systemic ones.
